Show and Tell Tuesday Guilty Pleasures
Things that you know you shouldn’t love as much as you do – guilty pleasures. We all have them, whether it’s food or time to yourself. Well today I am linking up for the Show & Tell Tuesday at Momfessionals to share some of my guilty pleasures.
This is probably my biggest guilty pleasure. With all of my autoimmune issues I get
tired exhausted. If you’ve ever had the flu and felt like you can’t go on, that’s the feeling I get some days. During the school week I get about 8 hours of sleep a night which isn’t nearly enough for me. So on the weekends I’ll sleep 10-11 hours a night and then take a 2 hour nap in the afternoon. When I have off for the summer I sleep 10-11 hours almost every night. It’s what my body needs so I give in to this “guilty pleasure”.
I can spend hours mindlessly looking at and pinning recipes and crafts that I might someday make. And based on the number of pins I see come across in my notifications, I’m sure I’m not alone with this guilty pleasure! Of course, there is lots of useful information like finding out how well I know the lyrics to “Let It Go” or which baby names I’ll regret in 10 years! Seriously, I do find a lot of good health information as well as inspirational quotes and pictures to brighten my day.
Craft and Fabric Stores
Another place I can spend countless hours looking at stuff I could be making if I weren’t spending hours wandering around the store! Joann Fabrics, Michael’s and Hobby Lobby are all within about a 5 mile radius from my house – dangerous I know. I also found a great quilting shop about 5 miles the other direction called Cupcake Fabrics and Quilts. Talk about a great selection of quilting fabrics!
I have a lot of food sensitivities so there isn’t much I can indulge in. Variety is the key for me – the more I eat of something the more likely I become sensitive to it. But there are two things I buy for an occasional treat. Lily’s Chocolate with coconut is one. It is sweetened with stevia which other than honey is my go to sweetener. It is non GMO and fair trade certified. My other indulgence is So Delicious Ice Cream. The vanilla bean is awesome. I can add cinnamon apples or fresh blackberry syrup and it’s a delicious treat! Of course on a teacher salary neither of these treats find their way into my house frequently!
How about you? What are some of your guilty pleasures?

Pinterest is a free way to enjoy all kinds of things that you might not otherwise get to sample. I love it. One of my guilty pleasures, for sure.
Not terribly sleepy-headed, although, an occasional nap is scrumptious.
Scrapbook supply shopping is another of my guilty pleasures. I have enough stuff to scrapbook with every day for a year but I still like shopping and buying MORE!

Pinterest is definitely addicting but I have also found many things to make and enjoy!
One of my guilty pleasures is peach slushy. I just love it.
A peach slushy sounds so refreshing! Thanks for stopping by, Betty!
I can agree so much with you. I know the exhaustion feeling and falling asleep because of the need.

Your top 2 are also my favorite “Simple” pleasures – sleep and Pinterest! I wrote “simple” because I don’t feel a bit guilty for self-care. 🙂
Sleep is definitely important in my autoimmune life!
I just love luxuriating in a bubble bath with a glass of champagne and a good book! Thanks for sharing with us at #BloggersPitStop Link Party and have a great weekend.

Diet pop its addictive and so hard not to crave. I love the stuff.
I used to drink a lot of diet Dr. Pepper before my diet was changed drastically!
I am a Staying At Home Mum. In the morning when my kid is at school and my husband at work and after I am doing my chores or in between, I love sitting down and watching an episode of my favorite TV serial or two.
I used to watch TV more when my kids were at home but now I don’t even turn it on when I am home alone!
Loving this post Roseann.
My current guilty pleasure whilst in a sling for shoulder dislocation (again) is binge watching Netflix Sense8 and Anne with an E……both very different!
Not forgetting a bar of Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt!!
I binged Sense8 too – loved it! xx
I don’t watch much TV but I’ll have to check out these shows!
Hope your shoulder gets better soon! And chocolate is always good!
I love Lily’s chocolate too Roseann
It is expensive but it sure is good!
