January Monthly Pinterest Challenge Blog Hop

Welcome to the first 2018 monthly Pinterest Challenge Blog Hop, hosted by My Pinterventures. The purpose of this Pinterest Challenge is to motivate all the participants of this hop (and you too) to not just pin, but to make it happen! So this month, I chose to make Valentine’s Heart Coasters from Doni at Whiskers and Wool. So happy to be participating in the January Monthly Pinterest Challenge Blog Hop!

These Valentine’s coasters are really easy to make. It took me less than an hour to make each one. The pattern by Doni is written really well and is easy to follow. Since they are crocheted in the round my only suggestion is to make sure you mark your beginning stitch. The first one I made came out a little wonky because I got off on my stitch count! You definitely want to use cotton yarn as it absorbs the condensation from your cup better. I used Lily Sugar and Cream.
These would make great teacher or co-worker gifts!

These are so cute. I don’t think I could use them for cups because I would be worried I would ruin them- they are to pretty.
Thanks Jenny!

Your coasters came out great and look exactly like the original pin. Great tip on using cotton yarn too.
