Kids Christmas Tree
Every year since the year they were born, it has been one of my traditions to purchase an ornament for each of my children. I try to make the ornament representative of something from that year. The thought behind it was when they were grown that they would have an ornament collection to start their own tree. Well, . . . both are grown but neither of them have taken their ornament collection. So this year I am decorating small trees with their ornaments. There are staying with me for Christmas so I am putting their trees in their rooms. Their trees now tell a story:
My daughter loved ballet, Disney, her cell phone and Starbucks! My son loved Nintendo, McDonalds, Pirates of the Carribean and listening to his music!
What kind of story does your tree tell?
Merry Christmas!

That’s a fantastic family tradition. I am sure the kids will be loving the story trees when they come home.
What a great idea! I love the ornament tradition of giving ornaments each year. What a great idea to decorate a tree for each. It will be fun to share with their children someday!
I started that tradition too of giving our kids a new ornament each year when our kids were little. And I’ve tried to continue it even now that they’re grown and have homes of their own.
