National Doughnut Day Stickers

This Friday is National Doughnut Day in the United States. And you know what that means? Free doughnuts! Definitely not a day to be on a diet! National Doughnut Day is always the first Friday in June. It was originally started in 1938 by the Salvation Army. The purpose of the day was to honor their members who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War I. And according to the National Day Calendar, “the doughnuts were often cooked in oil inside the metal helmets of American soldiers. American infantrymen were then commonly called doughboys.”
So, in order for you to help celebrate this national day, here are some stores in my area that are giving away free donuts:
Walmart – free glazed doughnut in the bakery section
Dunkin Donuts – free doughnut when you buy a drink
Krispy Kreme – free doughnut just for stopping in – their goal is to give away a million doughnuts! If that happens they will have another doughnut giveawy later in the month
Be sure to celebrate with these freebies! And another freebie is these doughnut stickers I’ve created! Use them for your planner or just for fun. Click on the picture below to get your free png or pdf file. You can use the png file to cut with a cutting machine using this sticker paper.
Happy National Doughnut Day!
