Dollar Store Golden Love Sign

It’s time for our monthly blog hop challenge. This month’s theme is a dollar store craft. The participants were challenged to create a project using mostly items from a dollar store. I decided to create this Golden Love Sign.
Golden Love Sign
Materials:
1 8 x 10″ sign
“Love” mirror sticker
Sealer (like Kilz)
Paint brush
Gold spray paint
Directions:
Paint your sign with sealer. I used a couple of coats of Kilz (which I already had) to cover the existing design. This is the sign I started with:
After the sealer is dry, remove the “love mirror” sticker from the paper and adhere to you sign where you would like it. This is going to be like a stencil.
Use the gold spray paint (which I already had) and paint the front and sides of the sign. Remove the “love mirror” being careful not to scratch the wet paint. The mirror was pretty sticky so I didn’t want to leave it on too long for fear I wouldn’t be able to get it off!
Easy peasy and you have a new sign!

The sign is so pretty. Great idea to use the love as a stencil. Dollar store crafts are the best.
How unique and creative to use the sticker as a stencil! Love how it turned out! Cute!
